YAYFRIENDS! Presents: Sound Check 3 Silent Rave on the Monorail

  • Linq Monorail Station 3435 South Las Vegas Boulevard Las Vegas, NV, 89109 United States (map)

MAY 17TH AND 18TH, 6 PM TO 2 AM
FEATURING: DONALD GLAUDE, DANCETRONAUTS, AND MANY MORE TBA!

YAYFRIENDS! in association with MNDST Productions & ZEROdB Presents: Sound Check 3 - the world's only silent rave aboard the Las Vegas Monorail. Proceeds from this event will benefit the hearing impaired and be donated to the National Association of the Deaf (https://www.nad.org/)

The silent rave (provided by ZEROdB) will take place on 2 MONORAIL TRAINS OVER 2 DAYS, providing even more music for your enjoyment!

Our theme for this event is an underground warehouse rave...onboard an underground subway rave! Wear your oldschool rave gear and get ready to rock the main room onboard the LVCVA vinyl wrapped train, and on the opposite track just a few minutes wait are the side rooms, with 2 djs on the second train. You will be able to listen to either DJ anywhere on the whole train with the flip of a switch!

We're doing it backwards, with Thursday May 17th as the main event, and Friday the 18th we're calling "Broke Locals Night". If you aren't headed to EDC, the monorail will be the spot you'll want to hit!

Music provided by YAYFRIENDS!, MNDST, Dancetronauts, Donald Glaude, Bass Church, Nuphonic Rhythym, Rebel Scum, SMVSHBROZ, & more.

Official lineup TBA.

ADMISSION, FREE PARKING & $1 LOCALS or $5 SINGLE RIDE MONORAIL PASSES

--------------------------

We are asking a minimum $20 donation for headphone rental, but you are welcome to donate more to benefit the hearing impaired and to help create more events like this in the future. Your can only rent headphones at our kiosk at the LINQ monorail station, and your rental gets you 1 pair of headphones which you can valet at the LINQ station if you need to use the bathroom or exit the platform to smoke. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas off the monorail platforms.

If you accidentally keep one of our pairs of headphones, we have to pay for it and it hurts the charity. Please return them to us by emailing info@yayfriends.com or calling Johnny at 702-929-5635.

Discount Monorail tickets for Nevada locals can be purchased for $1 (Limit of 2 per person per day) at all Monorail customer service ticketing offices with a valid Nevada ID. Ticket offices are open from 10am to 6pm at the following station locations:

• Bally’s/Paris

• Flamingo

• Harrah’s/LINQ

• Westgate

• SLS

ADDITIONALLY, MONORAIL TICKET DESKS INSIDE MGM AND HARRAH’S ARE OPEN FROM 10AM TO 9PM.

In order to purchase $1 fares you must visit a Monorail customer service desk, otherwise you can purchase a single ride for $5 at any Monorail station.

MGM charges for parking, but you can park for free at SLS & Westgate. Flamingo, Harrah’s or the LINQ also offer free parking for locals for the first 24 hours. You can purchase a Monorail ticket at any of these stations and ride south to MGM Station for the event. WE RECOMMEND YOU PARK AT THE LINQ AS THIS IS THE STATION YOU WILL NEED TO GET YOUR HEADPHONES AT.

THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY A FULL FARE 24 HOUR PASS IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO LEAVE THE MONORAIL PLATFORMS OR TRAINS. IF YOU EXIT THE FAREGATES TO USE THE RESTROOM YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL PASS OR AN UNLIMITED RIDE 24 HOUR PASS.

HOW DOES THIS SILENT RAVE THING WORK?

--------------------------

You will trade your driver’s license AT THE LINQ STATION ONLY for a pair of special wireless headphones that only work with our system. You will get a colored wristband showing you have donated for headphones. If you need to use the bathroom, you can valet your headphones at the LINQ station where you rented them. Headphones are available on a first come first served basis.

The monorail takes a total of 30 minutes to travel from the MGM station to SLS and back. You may ride for as long as you want. If you miss a train, you can pick it up on the other side of the station on the way back. It will take no more than 30 minutes if you are at the ends, and 15 minutes if you are near the center of the monorail route to get back on the same train, and half as much time to get on the other train with DJs.
